Did you barely survive or totally thrive during 2020? Arts Visalia Visual Art Center is looking for artwork to be included in our upcoming January juried exhibition, Surviving or Thriving: 2020 in Review. All applications with work created to reflect your experiences during 2020 will be accepted.
All submissions will be selected by a jury committee. It may take several weeks before we come to a decision; should we be interested or have any questions, we will contact the artist. Work will be juried based on composition, quality, authenticity, creativity and originality, uniqueness, presentation/craftsmanship, and overall balance.
Deadline for Entry Submissions: All forms and artwork are due to Arts Visalia by the extended deadline of December 11th, 2020 at 5pm to be considered for the January Juried Community Exhibition.
There is a $25.00 non-refundable application fee for the first entry, $5.00 for each entry thereafter (up to 3 entries total). Not all entries may be displayed. Entries without payment will not be considered.
Awards: $100 best of show award juried by a professional panel, $100 people’s choice award on the opening reception evening. Winners will be announced on January 8th, 2021.
Regardless of if Arts Visalia is able to open our doors to the public we will still hold the exhibition with a virtual tour available on our website. Having the artwork in the gallery will allow for visitors to view the work by appointment.
Arts Visalia is not responsible for the cost of shipping work to the gallery or the cost of returning work to the artists. The artist is responsible for all shipping and handling costs.
