Adult art workshops are an excellent way to build skills for all levels of artists: beginning to advanced. We offer workshops that introduce you to new techniques and mediums that are designed to empower artists in a welcoming community space.
Tuition is non-refundable unless cancelled at least three days prior to the start of workshop. In the event a workshop is cancelled by Arts Visalia, the option of a refund or donation of tuition will be offered.

In this class you will practice design exercises to assist you in developing an illustrated character. You will learn to develop a concept, create a character profile, give your character a fleshed out personality and personalize their facial expressions.

Learn the steps to prepare and carve wood block for printing with water based ink. Woodblock printing is a type of relief printing where the raised areas not carved away are inked. You will learn a few different printing techniques and you’ll leave class with your unique wood carved stamp and your prints.

Learn the steps on how to draw the head and face using a practical and easy to learn method. Work from photographs to learn how to create stunning portrait work using graphite and colored pencil.

Have a spooky Sunday drawing experience with a still life consisting of bones and oddities. Pens, pencils, and paper will be provided or bring your own supplies. Tracy will be guiding participants in drawing techniques to achieve their own spooky artworks.
