Adult art workshops are an excellent way to build skills for all levels of artists: beginning to advanced. We offer workshops that introduce you to new techniques and mediums that are designed to empower artists in a welcoming community space.
Tuition is non-refundable unless cancelled at least three days prior to the start of workshop. In the event a workshop is cancelled by Arts Visalia, the option of a refund or donation of tuition will be offered.

Join us for a midweek art class. Relax with snacks and wine while you design your very own wine tumbler. You’ll use digital tablets to create your design, and through the magic of sublimation you will create an original piece.

In this class you’ll learn to create your own mixed-media sketchbook. Strengthen your creative muscles without fear through guided technique exercises and free exploration. You will experiment with different mediums and artistic techniques to create sketchbooks that are uniquely yours.

Learn to add creative flair to correspondence, invitations, decorations, art projects and more. In this class you’ll be introduced to the ancient art of calligraphy with a modern twist. You’ll be provided with a lettering workbook to practice on while you receive step by step guidance. You’ll learn the basic calligraphy alphabet and beginner techniques to practice making letter forms. You’ll learn about the tools and materials every calligrapher needs and how to hold and use the pen, starting with basic strokes.

In this class you will create a silver pendant and bail with silver clay. This method forgoes the traditional silversmith method allowing you to mold your pieces by hand. Your final design will be fired in a kiln to burn the binders out of the clay. You will be left with pure silver jewelry of your own making!
