ABOUT US:
Arts Visalia is a nonprofit community art center located in downtown Visalia, California. Our gallery features diverse monthly exhibitions of regionally, nationally and internationally recognized artists. Visalia, CA has 137,000 residents, and is located in the heart of California’s San Joaquin Valley. The Arts Visalia Visual Art Center has two exhibition spaces, our large main gallery space, and a smaller feature gallery. Each space is available for one month exhibitions and both may be used for the same artist.
The exhibitions will be selected by a jury committee. Packages may be dropped off at the gallery, but will not be reviewed or discussed with the artist at that time. It may take several months before we come to a decision; should we be interested or have any questions, we will contact the artist.
Our gallery schedules exhibitions in a two-year cycle, ranging in solo and group exhibitions, as well as annual shows each spring, fall and winter. As a non-profit gallery, it is supervised by trained staff and docents. Arts Visalia will receive payment for sales, including State of California sales tax, and retain 25% of sales price as a sales commission. Artists will be compensated 75% of the sales price.
Arts Visalia is not responsible for the cost of shipping work to the gallery or the cost of returning work to the artists. The artist is responsible for all shipping and handling costs.
Open and free to the public, Arts Visalia seeks to develop and promote the visual arts to enhance the quality of life in our community.
