September 30 – October 30, 2027
Opening Reception: Friday, October 1, 2027
Working across painting, sculpture, objects, and text, Nikki de León draws on an architectural background to explore structure, spatial clarity, and the interplay between darkness and color. In her paintings, forms and colors emerge from dark grounds, gaining presence through contrast and subtle spatial rhythm. Her sculptural work extends this exploration of balance, using materials such as steel to create constructions that appear light despite their inherent weight. Across all mediums, she investigates how visual structures can hold opposing forces at once — opening spaces where color, form, and darkness coexist with quiet, steady strength.
