Candy is an artist born in China, based in Los Angeles, studied at the Rhode Island School of Design. Her work explores the intersection of identity, culture, and personal transformation, drawing from both her Chinese heritage and my experiences as an immigrant in America. Candy creates fictional and autobiographical scenes that reflect her journey of adaptation and self-discovery. Her art explores the interplay between seemingly ordinary materials to create a narrative of transformation and connections that mirrors the human experience. She creates bridges between the sensible world and the realm of the abstract, aiming to evoke feelings, thoughts and emotions that transcend the limitations of the physical world, shaping the unseen forces of our existence.
