February 3 – 26, 2028
Opening Reception: Friday, February 4, 2028
My art explores the theme of life and its paths, as interpreted and expressed through my personal faith and introspection. It delves into the essence and source of life, as well as human nature and condition. As an immigrant, I have personally searched for my identity and true self in a new place, drawing inspiration from the study of the Bible, particularly the Book of Romans, as well as Christian theology, existential philosophy, and analytical psychology. My mixed media pieces incorporate
textures that reflect the various states of the heart and mind, using everyday items and recycled materials from my surroundings.
Haesook “Hannah” Lee was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Lee immigrated to America with her family when she was in college. Being an immigrant surrounded by unfamiliar ways, she turned towards Christianity as her base, which gave her the chance to explore her inner self.
