Information about our Figure Drawing Nights: • Figure drawing nights are scheduled for every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 7pm-9pm (excluding holidays). • Figure Drawing nights usually have the following posing schedule: Five two minute poses, Three 10 minute poses, 5-10 minute break, one 20 minute pose, one 30 minute pose. What to Expect as a Figure Model: • Figure models will pose completely nude, in person for a group of artists and students ages 18 and up, who will practice drawing the human anatomy and the human form. • Figure models will need to pass a background check (that we pay for) to be part of our regular modeling schedule. • Figure models are independent contractors and are paid $20 per hour for a 2-hour session. A payment check is sent to the model by mail a few business days after their session is completed. • Figure models will need to bring a robe and towel to each of their sessions. A robe or something similar, to wear during breaks, and a towel to place down where they will sit during modeling. • While on Arts Visalia’s premises, figure models will comply with all of Arts Visalia’s rules, policies and practices, and all other applicable laws. • Figure models will reach out to Arts Visalia via email and phone call to inform of any scheduling issues. • If figure models have a Modeling CV they will email it to Education@artsvisalia.org.
