The Cigarette Box Project series is a collection of over 400 landscape oil paintings, each meticulously described/rendered/painted on the front of disposed Seneca Silver 100s cigarette boxes. The series explores themes of consumerism, waste, and the transformation of discarded objects into art.
Angel Lesnikowski is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work depicts death, war, and the female gaze as a rhetoric of resistance. She is a member of the CSU Summer Arts Community Board, a Curatorial Intern for the Fresno Art Museum, the previous owner and cofounder of Paper Crane Gallery in Fresno, California, and a member of The Council of 100.
