Matt Mealer is a photographer born, raised, and currently based in Fresno, California. His interest in photography began with Polaroid and 35mm point-and-shoot cameras in childhood, and early consumer digital cameras in adolescence. While he is primarily self-taught, a high school photography class was his first exposure to manual shooting with SLR cameras and darkroom processing – an experience whose significance he only began to realize much later.
