“It is never easy to say goodbye to a dear friend especially when you have been friends for close to five decades, but unfortunately, we don’t have a choice in the matter. Dolores left this world in her sleep on Sunday. She was such a beautiful, talented and unique individual. If you are lucky enough to own one of her watercolors or an oil painting, you are very lucky indeed and should treasure it. In 1985, I commissioned an oil painting from Dolores for our 15th wedding anniversary. It has an honored place in our home and will always be a wonderful reminder of our friend. “To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.””
