February 4 – 27, 2027
Opening Reception: February 5, 2027
Scenes from Central California is part of an ongoing effort to document the region as it is lived in rather than idealized. I am drawn to subtle shifts in light, weather, and season, and to the ways roads, fields, and open land carry traces of time and labor. By working slowly and returning to the same regions over years, the photographs build a visual record of place that
values presence over spectacle and familiarity over novelty.
Amanda Westrich is a California based photographer working under the name The Photographer’s Eye. Born and raised in Southern California and now residing in Central California, she has been photographing since 2008 and has developed a long-term body of
work focused on the landscapes and rural culture of the region. Her work explores the relationship between land, time, and memory, with particular attention to agricultural areas, back roads, and transitional spaces connecting coast, valley, and mountains.
