Iconografica is an investigation of the role of capitalism on contemporary culture. Alonzo explores how important iconographic images are reduced to everyday knick-knacks and the interweaving of other images into contemporary culture.
Francisco is a Visalia native who started his art education at COS. He finished his undergraduate work at Sonoma State University and his MFA from Cranbook Academy of Art. He teaches Screen Printing and Drawing at COS and co-advises the Prinworks Club. Francisco states that his work stems from research into gang family structure and how it arose from labor disputes dating back to the Bracero program.
