Exhibition Runs March 3rd through April 30th, 2021
The exhibition honors the life and legacy of Chicano Artist Ricardo Favela and brings awareness to the region’s rich cultural diversity. Raised in Dinuba, Favela started his education at COS and later transferred to Sacramento State College. Favela’s commitment to the community and education guided him to help found the Royal Chicano Air Force (RCAF). This led to his engagement with the United Farm Workers Union (UFW), the Chicano cultural arts movement along with statewide and local civil rights and community empowerment. This exhibition celebrates how Favela used his artistic voice to reflect the Chicano experience. This incredibly popular exhibition honoring the life and legacy of Ricardo Favela was extended through April and remained on display in our Main Gallery, until April 30th, 2021.
March 3rd-April 30th, 2021.
